About Us

BancWest Corporation is a financial services holding company which was formed in 1998 as a result of a merger between holding companies for Bank of the West, San Francisco and First Hawaiian Bank, Honolulu. In 2001, the public entity became a wholly-owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas.

As of December 31, 2014, BancWest Corporation had total assets of $85.7 billion. It is a holding company for Bank of the West and First Hawaiian Bank, which serve more than 3.39 million households and businesses through more than 670 branch banking locations and commercial banking offices in 23 Western and Midwestern states, Guam and Saipan. The banks have representative offices in Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Schaumburg, Tokyo, and Taipei and offshore branches in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.
